Friday: After your flight arrives, you will board a motorcoach for a morning tour of Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world. This 13 acre royal residence sits above the River Thames and has been considered the most romantic castle in the world. A new garden designed by Chelsea Gold Medalist Tom Stuart-Smith, is the most recent addition to the Castle. After a tour of Windsor Castle you will have the opportunity to tour the Great Park (Windsor Forest), then it’s on to lunch at Great Fosters which is framed on three sides by a Saxon moat. The formal gardens are extensive and exceptional. Designed to reflect the intricate beauty of a Persian rug, the knot garden is embellished with fragrant beds of flowers and herbs bordered by manicured hedges and topiary. At the heart of it all is the Drake sundial, which belongs to the immediate family of Sir Francis Drake and is believed to date back to 1585. Wander further in this magnificent fifty-acre estate and you’ll discover a vast lake, a grand lawn leading to an avenue of lime trees, and an enchanting Wisteria-draped Japanese bridge leading to a sunken rose garden and tranquil lily pond. Needless to say, Great Fosters has become a celebrated pilgrimage for horticultural enthusiasts from across the world. Late afternoon you will transfer to your 4-Star London hotel where your room awaits you (check-in between 4 and 5 pm). Enjoy the evening at leisure, perhaps a theatrical production in London’s East End.

Saturday: After a full English Breakfast you will board a deluxe motorcoach for a full day tour to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and Dover. Described as “The Loveliest Castle in the World,” Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold, a royal residence for six of England’s medieval queens, a palace of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the powerful and influential. Flowers and foliage abound in the formal gardens - the Culpeper and the Lady Baillie Garden, while the maze with its secret underground grotto provides a challenging half hour (or more!) unless you'd rather opt for a more sedate viewing of the greenhouses or a cup of tea in the Wykeham Martin Tea Room. Next stop is Canterbury Cathedral surrounded by beautiful gardens. Canterbury is England’s ecclesiastical capital where Thomas Beckett was murdered in 1170.

ETC. ETC. ETC.
