"What we got here is failure to communicate" and the scene with Luke at his dying mother's side,the love between the two palpable and done without the ususal smarmy excess of many movies.Going back to it now, it seems so adult in the way it treats its subject and does not condescend to its audience.

I also recommend to moviegoers "Five Easy Pieces" with Jack Nicholson in the lead.Another movie far better than anything we have seen recently.
