How can I fix my mashed potatoes?
Advertisements [?]
I don't cook that much but I'm having people over tonight and I think I screwed up my mashed potatoes. When I boiled the potatoes the outside of the potatoes were ultra soft (I think I had the heat too high) and I assumed they were just as soft on the inside.

When I started mashing them, the inside wasn't very soft. It's cooked but I've been mashing them for hours now and it's still lumpy and I can taste a bit of slightly undercooked potatoey taste in it.

Is there anything I can do to fix it to make it creamier and get rid of some of the undercooked taste?
