18. I so sick of hearing "Sold Out."
That such an obscurist's argument--"Oh, I used to like R.E.M., but everything since the hibi-mix single of 'Radio Free Europe' sucks." Would a sane person make the argument that everything the Simpsons have done since the Tracey Ullman Show sucks? And if so, wouldn't you find them an asshole?

(I know it wasn't you that use the phrase, just venting here)

White Stripes are great. The fact that Jack is dating my woman and was in a good movie and recorded a phenomenal album for Loretta Lynn only means he has more than one color crayon up his sleeve. Chrissakes...

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are mighty tasty. Nellie McKay is absolutely world-shattering. I'll even go so far as to plug my friend's local band, Skintight (, or .net, I don't remember, to hear songs). They are like Blondie covering the Jam and have been getting a lot of ink lately. Of course, as soon as they get a major label deal, I'm gonna quit liking them. $%#&ing Sell-outs...
