171. Buddy Ebsen and Cary Grant...
Buddy Ebsen was called in to do anti-Nancy Kulp ads when the Democratic feminist (and fellow Hillbillian) ran for office in 1984:

Nancy Jane Kulp (1921-1991) also known as Nancy Kulp; "Slim" of Pennsylvania. Born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa., August 28, 1921. Democrat. Candidate for U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania 9th District, 1984. Female. Lesbian. Professional actress, best known for her role as "Jane Hathaway"in the 1962-71 television comedy series "The Beverly Hillbillies". Died, of cancer, in Palm Desert, Riverside County, Calif., February 3, 1991. Interment at Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, Pa.

This from the IMDB

An outspoken Republican, he helped defeat Nancy Kulp, his co-star in "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1962), in her congressional bid, in which she ran as a Democrat. Ebsen made a radio ad that accused Kulp of being too "liberal" and not good for the district. The two did not speak for years after the incident.

And Cary Grant opened the 1980 GOP national convention that nominated Ronald Reagan.
