Why should that make any difference? Oh, I can think of a thousand reasons Microsoft would make it make a difference, or Apple too, for that matter. I suppose MS just figures there is no hope of getting people to switch from Mac to their crummy-ass products, so they don't even make an attempt to make them usable for us. But this POS player just serves to underscore many of the reasons Mac users tend to show disdain for MS products. Why even bother to release a product like this that simply doesn't perform 90% of the time? Release a slick player that FUNCTIONS and you might get people to actually use it, and give them one less reason to stop trashing you.

Of course, we all know that Apple's been on the verge of going out of business since the eighties, so maybe MS is just waiting for their demise. :eyes:

(ON EDIT) - WMP generally performs at an almost-acceptable level if you choose to download the video clip first, and play it directly from your HD. The same problems with the inactive buttons, and the video quality is usually horrible and pixelated and filled with giant artifacts.
