Microsoft Permatemp Suit: Money Gained, Labor Lost?

After thirteen years, the checks are finally in the mail. In 1992 a group of contract workers at Microsoft filed suit, claiming they were unfairly excluded from employee benefit and stock programs. This week compensation checks go out to over 8,000 plaintiffs who were excluded from Microsoft’s employee stock purchase program, marking the close to a landmark case that pitted permatemps against an industry giant.
