In the end President Hollenbach is confronted with his own lapses and incresingly frequent episodes of paranoia by people he trusts including a family member. He is still with it enough to see the truth in thier words and to resign, presumably because he is a noble man.

Somehow I doubt Bush's nobility and capacity to reflect on his own behavior will save us or that half the cabinet and the twins are gonna stage an intervention.
