Not particularly a genius in the military realm, he is thus far incapable of offering any decisive tactical challenge to American forces.

Politically, in the street, it is dangerous to oppose him. Iraqi police and security forces have to take him and his militia very seriously. They have to deal with him because of his demonstrated staying power and the discipline of his followers. This demonstration and the symbols carried present a whole new dimension of the resistance.

Iraq has been Lebanonized.
