7. Seems to be true

From http://www.triplearadio.com/americana_beat/
"Stephen King seems to be an Americana fan. This week in his Entertainment Weekly column, The Pop King, he recommends Steve Earle's The Revolution Start's Now, Southern Culture On The Skids' Mojo Box, Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose, Ollabelle, John Lennon's Acoustic disc and James McMurtry's Live in Aught-Three. A few weeks back he talked up Jack Ingram."

The article in Entertainment Weekly requires a subscription, but there is an article there where he lists his favorites.

The Americana site has some nice picks for its favorites list too, including Earle's The Revolution Starts Now.

And for any who have not heard his show on Sunday eves, listen up. A lot about how the Nashville music biz works, and some great chats with other artists who bring their favorite music to share.

(edit: as for King being a guest next Sunday, I could not find verification, but it seems vaguely like I might have heard such an announcement -- I would not have paid much attention because I plan to listen regardless of who is on, so no "remember this" not was attached to any such announcement.)
