6. Yeah, that's definitely the craziest part.
OK, so if the mission is unaccomplished...and they KNEW it would still be unaccomplished for a while...WHY DID THEY SAY IT WAS?

I mean, sure, WE know they're a bunch of lying sacks...but if they are a bunch of lying sacks for whom everything is on track, wouldn't they have avoided telling such an OBVIOUS lie in such a dramatic manner?

That column is a priceless example of a man drowning in his own cognitive dissonance. I mean, he's not a moron. He writes pretty well. He's just so fucking DELUDED that he can't figure out how to make everything work out...because he is unwilling to understand that his image of Bush is just totally fucking unfounded and wrong. He's doing a Beverly Crusher: "If there's nothing wrong with Bush...there must be something wrong with the universe!"

Also I love how he's constantly stroking his own sense of importance by talking about all these insiders he hobnobs with. Yiiiiiiich.

It would probably bother me less if he were straight. As I said to Liza, "That's one guy who's really lettin' the team down."

:grr:
