-- are nothing more than the outer cartilage of the larynx. Women have them too, they are often smaller (but not always) then the typical male's.

They are less visable in women because of subcutaneous fat in the neck. Obviously Coulter's is readily visable because she's an anorexic.

Having said that -- Coulter might be trans, she might be intersexed, she might have a hormonal condition, she might have a chromosomal difference. There are many many reasons that could account for her "appearance". I often tell people there are as many genders on this planet as there are people. The concept of gender being comprised of two polar opposites is a convenient myth that is in serious need of busting. Gender is a spectrum.

My suspicion is Ann Coulter was born with androgen insensitivity (like Jamie Lee Curtis or Sandra Bullock).

Be that as it may --using the transgender label as a method of ridicule or derision is flatout inexcusable.
