3. I had he same feeling after the first debate.
All during the first Bush/Kerry debate, I couldn't BELIEVE this moron was the president. He stumbled over his words, looked worse than Nixon in 1960, had gallons of flopsweat, looked depserate, grasping. He confused Saddam and Osama a couple times, made joke that fell on ashamed silence from the audience......if politics were like "American Idol," Bush would have never gotten passed the audition stage based on that performance. I thought, "At last, when put up against Kerry, he's going to be revealed as the halfwit numbskull he is and the American people will wake up." It was like putting your idiot little brother's garage band up against Led Zeppelin: no contest.

I was so psyched.

Then. immediately after the debate, all I heard from the pundits was "Well, I thought it was even" or "I think Bush won this one." WHAT!?!?!?

I agree, unless you were paid to do so (or a brainwashed cultist), there was no logical way you could say Bush was impressive.
