56. A few thoughts...
When I taught English (levels from junior high to college), I found that careless thought processes were often reflected in careless syntax. Your first post was not bad (somebody else do it for you?) but the second is peppered with errors: shutdown in this sense should be shut down (2 words); you've omitted the close quotation marks after the word nearby; politicians should have an apostrophe (politician's); there should be no comma after lie; notwithstanding is one word, not two.

Sorry to be so bitchy, but when I see careless reasoning coupled with careless grammar, I can't bear it. Especially when NPR has been Lewinskying Bush all morning.
