designed to prevent dumpster babies, and it doesn't look anything like Cosgrove's.

In Texas the legislation allows a new mother to drop her baby off at a hospital or fire dept (and maybe police dept) without fear of being arrested and charged with infant abandonment.

I think FL has a similar law, and I heard they tried to charge a mother anyway, but the charges were dropped because doing that defeated the purpose of the law: to allow women to give birth, leave their babies safely, not be prosecuted, and the babies are alive. This legislation doesn't do that.

Anyway, this is a continuation of this monstrous invasion of privacy upon women.
