This statement is not correct. They are not just auditing the Diebold optical scan machines. In fact townships that will be checked in the first stage of recounts are also ES&S optical scan users.

One of those communities is Diebold and the other ES&S. Some of the other communities may be hand-count also. Hand-counted ballots are found in a large part of the state.
