116. I had lost hope.....Thank you and please tell Mr. Edwards...
He was my first pick for President and although he has decided not to run for a second term in the Senate (I wish he would reconsider -America needs him), it is my prayer that he will head the democratic presidential ticket in 2008. We need someone who not only understands where we are coming from, but more importantly where we need to go from here. When my ten year old son came home from school Wednesday and asked who won, he cried when I gave him the news, saying "But this means we will be poor". For even at his young age, he has witnessed first hand the sacrifices we make as a family to tenuously hold on to our middle class status. As a mother, I had to put all my feelings of defeat aside and feign hope that in 4 years a GOOD man would take office and be able to pick America back up, dust her off, and make her shine once more. Please know that your husband is that GOOD man. After the rigors of the campaign trail, you both may be tempted to pull out of the lime light. Please do not. To survive the next four years, America still needs to hear that hope is on the way.

Thank you so much for restoring my hope today.
