6. I don't understand everyone's concern. . .

All that need be done is detailed in the article:

The situation in Iraq could rebound quickly, especially if U.S. forces can restore electric power, water, health care and other services to the population, revive the nation's battered oil industry and unite the country's feuding Kurds, Shiites, Sunnis and tribesmen into some sort of civil authority.

When we're done with those minor troubles, we'll give everyone a pony to soothe their toubled minds, send them off to bed with a glass of warm milk. Everything will be better. I can't believe no one has thought of any of this before.
