There are legitimate questions that are unanswered.

Why was Berg in Iraq?

Did he really just go there at his own initiative because he thought he could get work installing antennas?

Why was Berg jailed by the US military in Iraq?

Was he subject to interrogation by military intelligence?

Why was he released? When? And to whose custody?

Was he on his way home to the US, and if so how?

Where has he been since April 9?

Was he a critic of the US occupation?

Who are the "real perps"?
