In my humble opinion, the party needs to make an example of
this guy.

They can't expel him from office, but they can (and should)

- kick this guy out of any chairmanships he holds
- cut him off from party funding
- and make absolutely certain that every bit of legislation
he authors in the rest of his term is DOA.

They need to make life so hard and so painful and so miserable
for this clown that for the next hundred years, no democrat
even *contemplates* this kind of move for more than a micro-
second.

I mean, I understand that every once in a while an issue can
come along where a Senator has to say "hey -- it's in the
best interests of my constituents to back the President on
this one." Miller's made a career out of doing this. And
it enrages me that a sitting democrat, elected on the democratic
dime, is endorsing the opposition's presidential candidate.
Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. And if the party leader-
ship lets this one roll by -- hell, I don't even know what to
say. Okay, rant over.
