Just came across this article published today in Dissident Voice... Though I think perhaps we might need some corroboration on some of what's discussed here, this article really tries to present the big picture of how recent American administrations have been complicit in the very thing it's trying to say its fighting. Nuclear proliferation to terrorists with aims agsinst the U.S., and in mafia style against those that some of these nebulous neo-con entities in our government are playing their private mafia-style wars against (supporting the Pakistanis (and Sunnis) against the Russians in Afghanistan, and Iran).

It starts out by noting that the very suspicious Urs Tinner, who's been linked to CIA nuclear proliferation, just days after the Mumbai terrorist attacks in India was quietly released.

It then goes through and links the various scandals like AQ Kahn nuclear arms network, the BCCI money laundering, Sibel Edmonds revelations on Marc Grossman, Valerie Plame and Brewster Jennings' "outings", Israel's Likud and AIPAC influence over Washington, etc. It expresses concern that there are still people in place that will continue these problems within the Obama administration, with folks like Tony Lake, UN Ambassador-designate Susan Rice, Tom Daschle and Dennis Ross being too tied to AIPAC and the Likudniks in Israel too.

If what he says is true, we've still got a big job in front of us out here in the trenches to get the truth out! /

Nuclear Proliferation, Terrorism and Deceit: Americas Deadly Game

by Tom Burghardt / January 19th, 2009

Call it a coincidence, but one headline youre not likely to have read just days after the Mumbai terrorist attacks concerned the quiet release by Swiss authorities of Urs Tinner. One of the key players in Pakistans nuclear proliferation network run by rogue scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan and the military, Tinner had been held in administrative detention for nearly four years.

This is all the more ironic given that Dawood Ibrahim, the drugs kingpin, terrorist operative and underworld crime boss who allegedly helped infiltrate Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET) commandos into Mumbai, is long-suspected of providing similar expertise to A.Q. Khans shadowy nuclear black market through a web of dodgy Dubai-based companies.

(a LOT of stuff in between)

Leading Washington neoconservatives linked to Israels far-right Likud party are encouraging Israelwith an assist from the Pentagonto bomb Tehrans nuclear research facilities. Chief among them are usual suspects John Bolton, Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith. But the incoming Obama administration is replete with its own stable of neocon hawks who have made common cause with the Likudniks. These include Tony Lake, UN Ambassador-designate Susan Rice, Tom Daschle and Dennis Ross.

Indeed, according to Middle East analyst Robert Dreyfuss, Democrats Lake and Rice joined their Republican counterparts last June at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), founded in coordination with the Israel lobby-shop AIPAC, during the groups 2008 Presidential Task Force meet-up that vigorously supported a confrontation with Iran.

On and on, Washingtons deadly and duplicitous game continues
