14. I keep hoping to be proven wrong in my hopeless assessment
I appreciate all of your comments and feedback.

I keep hoping to be proven wrong in my hopeless assessment that it's time to pull the plug on the Democratic Party ... But I think deep down we know the truth is that, at this late stage of our empire, it's not really possible for the Dems to stand for anything -- even to stand up for themselves.

This is the effect proto-fascist corporatism has on an individual ... There is no need for mass rallies and bon fires blazing against the totalitarian darkness ... corporatism establishes an authoritarian order by way of a series of brides and tacit threats such as a loss of status, economic setbacks -- careers can be ruined by breaking with authoritarian consensus and other such overt and covert methods of coercion ... Such social and cultural criteria flattens out an the individual's inner self by a persistent low level sense of fear ... As a result, a Triumph of the Bland comes to pass -- engendered and maintained by one's internalization of the corporate state and its soul-defying banalities. Ergo, the feckless Democrats of the present -- and John Kerry's sorry-ass actions axiomatic of it all.

From refusing to fight stolen elections -- right up to Kerry's pitiful display yesterday -- we bear constant witness to it.

Anyway: Excuse me -- but when did the military establish the position of being beyond humor -- much less reproach ... The last I looked they were being used as mindless instruments of our empire's imperialist aggression. Moreover, our habitually capitulating Democrats are up to the lickspittle lips in the legalized mass murder being perpetrated in the name of our nation..

Ergo, I suspect this is what belies all the military hagiography of the present: we (the vast majority of the citizens of this empire) don't want to view or think about the implications of all the piled corpses, slaughtered for no good reason, by our alleged heroes in uniform, in all our names.
