Sidarth is a typical exceptionally bright Northern Virginia kid going to U.VA(I'll bet it's NoVA, but maybe not. He was born in VA at any rate.) He's a little adventurous in his summer activities but counting on getting some serious extra credit, I suspect. There are a ton of great kids in this are, really decent, very hard working and bright. Why on earth Allen would try to humiliate this young man is beyond me. It's not like having a video guy from the opposition is a new thing. Any campaign that can, will do this. So what's Allen's problem?

HE'S A TOTAL IDIOT, THAT'S HIS PROBLEm. He only got elected the first time because the Dem who should have wiped the floor with him, Chuck Robb, got caught in a story about trading massages with some amazingly good looking actress in a NYC hotel room. I think Virginians, at least those of us near the beltway, were more turned off by the seeming "big fib" than anything else. It was just enough for this clown to make it. Now he's got some competition, and believe me Webb intimidates Allen. Webb is who he appears to be and much more. He's intelligent and deep. He can think on both sides of an issue and change his mind. He's an ex boxer, ex combat vet, writer, raconteur (shhh...), etc. He's comfortable around people. He's not putting on the persona of someone he'd like to be.

Allen is a nasty mess. Now everyone sees it. There were editorials ALL OVER Virginia the day's after this concerning Allen's awful behavior. He's toast. He'd have lost anyway. Webb would have frozen Allen in his high beams at the first high stakes debate.

Allen doesn't have much room to move around anymore. Northern Virginia went 62% - 34% (approx) for Kaine over the Republican in 2005. That's huge. It's wealthy, corporate, professional and not many will tout the GOP. Allen's racism is consider atrocious. Then there's Richmond, Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, all urban areas that don't dig racist crap. Tidewater is also very military. Webb fits in, Allen is a "dude."

Now Allen will have to debate Webb several times. Can't wait. YouTube is going to burn up the internet after those events.
