Republicans should know by now that their best hope is the quick hit, the fast shuffle. As soon as folks have the time to examine their claims and pull them apart and inspect them a little more closely, they tend to turn into fecal matter.

Yeah, everyone loves Ah-nuld. Right up to the moment they actually have to look him over with an eye to his being in Sacramento. Then they realize that's really the way he is, and not just a movie cyborg. Then they come to their senses and say, "Let's find someone who can actually do the job, instead of this musclehead." His shelf life was about a week, maybe 10 days. Now he's starting to go stale, and his inability to articulate a platform or a vision for his administration looks less endearing and more alarming.
