11. I've been saying that for months.. but I don't have a news agency.
The June 30th date is firm, because Bush HAS to have FOUR things:

1) July 4th photo ops and speeches about THEIR freedom, in context with OUR freedom. "You can take that to the bank" -Cheney

2) A month long vacation in August. He can't go if things look out of control there in Iraq.

3) An accomplishment (no matter how lame and false) for his summer and fall campaigning. The word QUAGMIRE just doesn't work in any 30 second tv spots.

4) The media will cool off (so they think) once power has been "handed over".

It's a deception. It's an insult to those we conquered there in Bush's crusade. It's another Afghanistan. All hell is STILL breaking loose in Afghanistan. The Taliban is back, the poppies are back, the violence continues. But.. they declared it to be done, so the media has forgotten it. The unfortunate death of Pat Tillman over there brought a few moments of "oh, do we still have military over there?", but it has since faded. I don't wish harm on anyone, and I want this to be over soon.. but I do hope it stays very unstable so that Bush cannot pull a fast one on June 30th, and leave our troops and the civilians over there out to dry. These power-hungry Bushes will let nothing and no one stand in their way.
