Well, in the interests of "fairness" and "compromise" we'd just HAVE to cut their portion by 2% TOO, wouldn't we? Oh, what the hell -- let's just cut their share by THREE percent. Then, next year, we can cut the employee portion by 2% in the name of "fairness" and "compromise". But wait, then the poor corporations would be paying 1% MORE, and THAT'S not right...

While, all the time, Alan Simpson cackles in the background.

So many "bipartisan compromises" to be made, so little time.
