153. The best case for marriage equality I've seen
I used to work in a geriatric psych ward in a small town. The folks who had kids who were willing/able to look after their interests did just fine, as did the vast majority of depressed old ladies seeking inpatient treatment. Older men with neurological disorders or senility fared worst, mainly because our shitty doctor would put them on the amount of Thorazine you would give to a young healthy person. First they would become zombies, and then they would die.

Old people in general need more legal protection from this sort of thing, but this especially goes for gay people. I think even many opponents of gay marriage would be against this.
