218. Congratulations President Obama!
The world IS paying attention and doesn't allow itself to be so easily distracted by tea baggers and the latest other tempests in teapots as too many inside the US seem to be. This is positive reinforcement of the highest order.
Yes, it's early in his term and professional career generally and yes, there's still a long way to go to make this world a better place for us all. But he is making genuine efforts, especially after having inherited a legacy from *Co that was FUBAR. If anything, this award is even more popular outside the US, based on the coverage that I'm seeing on this side of The Pond.
I personally love this news especially after the hay that was made by the RW after Obama's efforts to assist with Chicago's Olympic bid were not successful ... I believed then, and see this now as more evidence that his willingness to put his prestige on the line then even when the odds were long (and they were!), only enhanced the world's view of him.

Hopefully, this award will help to stiffen the spines of some the Jellyfish and Bluedog Dems to support his domestic and foreign agendas, that is, if they can find their spines at all.
