Read the citation.

He has used his "bully pulpit" to call for diplomacy and cooperation continually. It has been his message before he was President, and he took some lumps for it too.

Yes he has policies that he needs to work on. The other presidents who won it didn't exactly have clean hands. Teddy Roosevelt roughrode all over Cuba at one time.

Good grief! Give the man some credit. What other "world leader" has used their position to take such a stance?

This nation's foreign policy is a huge ship that has sailed in the wrong direction for some time now. It won't turn on a dime, and needs to be repositioned. Every turn is hollered about as surrender. He is taking on a mindset in this nation and other countries as well that is entrenched.
