11. I called them and they hung up on me
The first thing you hear is "if you're calling about the" so of course I didn't press that one. I waited for "constituent services" and explained to the cheery woman that I was a professor at a university in NJ and that I am teaching my students the value of public discourse. I said it was very hard to teach them this when one of the country's two major parties sends teams out to disrupt this process.

She denied it and said, "That's not us."

This went on for awhile and when I told her I didn't believe her because of their track record of doing similar actions, she hung up on me.
