Maybe forever? And I am sure the acquitted may turn bitter and will either try to escape - commit suicide or kill their guards which will cause them to be tried again and then once guilty realise they will never be freed. And then if they were originally not guilty, then they may turn bitter against the USA and will either try to escape - commit suicide or kill their guards.
