22. If we'll recall
and just sayin'...

Home Depot, Lowe's, even WallyWorld and a host of other relief agencies were there immediately with water, generators, pumps, food, everything they'd've needed at least to survive and were turned back by FEMA and DHA. FEMA and DHS diddlefarted and cordoned off the area for days more, standing off people who were ready and able to help when FEMA and DHS had a thumb in each end waiting for someone to holler "SWITCH!!"

No one will ever convince me that it wasn't intentional, coming ever-ever-so-close to genocide. Nothing much has changed in the last 3 years except a lot of rich folks have snapped up some land and built on it. The stories have been trickling out about the sorry patch jobs done on the levees (some stuffed with newspapers, even, for dogsakes) and nothing much has happened in the Lower 9th at all.

I pray that those who don't have transportation start walking the 17-mile bridge to Baton Rouge now or across the causeway to Houma; something-anything, don't stay there below sea-level. If you've got transportation, don't play -- take somebody, no, take as many as you can with you and GO. Save yourselves because you know the repuke government doesn't give a damn.
