354. so sad
I am so sad for this country, his family...

How many does that make in the past 10 days? we had a few right wing fundies arrested for plans to murder a dem...this guy...the right is making the fatal error all Regimes make. They are creating martyrs.

This kind of thing WILL mobilize people.

It always does, throughout history. Bad, bad move.

And for the record, I most certainly do hold people who call for the deaths of others on national TV accountable. I can assure you, most people (with a brain) in the "news/entertainment" business (tv/radio) think very carefully before saying anything even remotely like that. They know the power of their celebrity -- particularly in this country at this time. They are an extremely persuasive and powerful crowd and they are aware of that. If they are not thoughtful and careful for legal reasons, what about morals and ethics?

Is that too fu*king old fashioned to bring up? Come on. If I said what some of these Propagandists said on national TV and then a crazy went out and acted on what I said, I would never forgive myself. I'd feel that way even if I were in a fictional piece, and so would most non-psychotic people. It's called compassion.

Over and out.
