REALLY? Where?

There's no gazillion barrels of oil or anything even remotely approaching that expectation anywhere off the coast or in the continental US. ANWR will deliver a few cents drop in the price of oil for a year or so -- in 10 years. Meanwhile we'll be subsidizing the oil companies for that operation and their expensive new offshore drilling, on top of everything else we already subsidize for them.

In return I'm sure the speculators will be willing to shave a few dollars off the ever-increasing cost of a barrel now and then, just to make us feel better. Ask nicely and they might even let it last long enough to trickle down to your local gas station before they raise the price yet again!

I'm really not interested in paying for this misinformed, misguided pipe dream about ANWR and offshore drilling you and so many others share at the behest of the Repubs and the oil barons. In fact I've had it with being screwed by panicky, stupid Americans who don't know how to think for themselves and don't pay attention until trouble is sitting on their front doorstep. Eight years of that is quite enough, thank you very much.

For your children's sake, INFORM yourself.
