2. I live in SF and I have never understood
the infatuation with this guy. Yes, he's great at grand pronouncements. Marriage licenses for same-sex couples! (Very popular here - too bad he didn't actually have the authority to make them legal). Free wifi for everybody! (Still waiting), Fix muni in 100 days! (five years later it's worse than ever). Let's make Muni free! (Yeah, right). Bring down the murder rate in the Bayview! (Never happened). Yes, he gives good photo op and I hear he's fun at parties. But so far the track record of actual accomplishments looks pretty meagre to me.
