287. This is an important tragedy to cover as it is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history
I'm 31 and graduated from college in CT in 1999 we had someone ty to shoot another person on campus (I went to Central Connecticut State U). Luckily, it was the weekend and the campus police got involved quickly. It sounds like VA Tech's security really screwed up. Allowing classes to go on while a shooter is at large? Not locking down buildings? They should have canceled all classes, locked the dorms down, and locked the halls that still had classes going on. Ridiculous! I also think while Iraq is an everyday tragedy this hits closer to home and effects parents who have children who are college students. I'm going back to school right now (just a small local community college) to get another degree and its freaking me out having to go there Wednesday. Very creepy. I don't think we should be angry that Iraq doesn't move us in this way. That is perfectly normal that it doesn't. But it effects the overall mood of this country and this is just one more thing to make us depressed.
