144. Why does he address the troops as "you the Iraqi people"?
Bush's address to the troops is really full of more bu**sh** than usual. Half the time he's looking at the American soldiers but obviously talking to the people of Iraq who "have been terrorized for centuries". And to the troops, he justifies their sacrifice by saying we didn't come this far to back out now. This was the old rationale of last resort during Vietnam: we can't quit because we're not quitters.
