Now, it's not as if I'm urgently in favor of gay marriage, or even as if it is even any of my business. I'm only interested because when the majority seeks unfairly to control minorities, it offends my libertarian impulses.

But marriage?! Like Alexander Cockburn, I believe that gays and lesbians ought to think twice before buying into this institution. Just look what it's done to American heterosexuals! ;-)

That said, my blessing on any couple of any preference who want to take the risk. The Christians may hate you, but old Voltaire says oh, hell, go ahead--you might as well find out for yourselves. ;-)
