42. Good point, Dookus
Though it does seem as if they have won enough little victories to make some serious dents.

Witness: doctors actually performing abortions have gone the way of the dodo bird in many parts of the US, which means women with fewer resources (those least prepared to raise a child, in other words) have the least access to abortion.

They are in the middle of very successfully shutting down Planned Parenthood in College Station/Bryan, Texas, and they aren't even a PP branch that performs abortions!

When Planned Parenthood was located in College Station, right across from the Texas A&M campus, unplanned pregnancy rates were low, STD rates were low, and A&M even had one of the lowest HIV rates among students of any university of the same size in the NATION (30,000 students).

Then the anti-choice people started ranting and raving about PP passing out condoms on campus and giving out education and information on STDs (gasp, the horror, education and information, my GOD) and PP was eventually forced to move to Bryan, where a lot of girls on campus without cars couldn't reach them and now they are in even more dire straits and about to close down. Might have already, for all I know.
