Perhaps there is more to what the judge is trying to do. Did you read WHO the father of the baby is? Who she wants to marry to raise the child??? He was convicted of shooting an elderly man during a gang shooting. Lovely. Perhaps the little baby can be sent out to be adopted at birth.. only chance she's going to have at a healthy life. Judge seems like he's trying to keep her with the man that beats her, rather than a convicted gang member who shot and blinded an eldery man. Lovely choice.. but it's her to choice to make in most of America, I suppose.

From KOMO news: <<Hughes has stated in court records that the father is her boyfriend, Chauncey Jacques, who pleaded guilty to a gang-related shooting in 1998 that blinded an elderly man>>
