I'd take a grey-bar vakay in the USA for five years before I took one year in, e.g., Russia, China, Turkey, any of the -stans, Thailand, Myanmar, Viet Nam, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, any and all of the dozens of countries on the continent of Africa,...I'm just getting started here.

Rape happens in prison because we tolerate it. Many (including plenty of progressives) either joke about it or look the other way. As long as that's true no effort will be made to change things.
