defense fund swells to pay that fine and the million bucks or more he's racked up in legal fees now?

Whatcha wanna bet Scooter gets a decent-paying gig while he's on probation?

And whatcha wanna bet he gets a full pardon after the NOV08 elections?

And the sad bit is, it is ALL LEGAL. Bush is within his legal authority as President to do this.

And why did Bush do it?

Libby has a trophy wife and young kids. He needs money, he did not want to go to jail and not see his kids, and he was probably ready to open his mouth and SING to either shorten his sentence, or avoid it entirely.

Bush commuted to keep Libby's mouth well and truly SHUT.
