is to make it even less majoritarian by allocating a state's Electoral votes by gerrymandered congressional districts or some geographic division that favors the Republicans even more. Remember how red that electoral map was outside of urban areas? They'll pack all our votes into as few electors as possible, fewer than now even. Given that choice, I'll stick with what we have.

There's just no chance in hell we'll get enough small states to agree to dilute their influence. What's in it for Wyoming or New Hampshire? We need enough smaller states to agree to any propsed amendment, but they never will. It would take one hell of a mass movement, almost a revolution really, to compel them to agree to that. I'd prefer to see the President elected by popular vote also, but that's really just spitting in the wind. I think it's more likely that the Republicans will hijack Electoral College reform to solidify power. They're trying to do it in CA already.
