meant to be commentary about this issue.

You better believe it happened. And other disillusioning behaviors I didn't mention.

Perspective is important, of course. I dealt with homeowners virtually every day, meeting new ones every day, and they were normal, decent people. Millions of homeowners in southern California always paid their mortgages even as the market crashed and never considered doing anything else. Many who lost their jobs made arrangements with their banks until they were able to resume payment. Those were their homes.

I never read a psychological profile of the others, disillusioned as I was, I never then and still do NOT believe the typical person would behave that way in that situation. What I do now believe is that a Venn diagram of those who knowingly borrow over their means and those trumpish vandals would show a significant overlap.

Btw, disappointing people eager to borrow over their means is a normal occurrence for appraisers.

But why not read the article so you know what their actual positions were, or at least have a somewhat better idea?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
