And I don't remember anyone telling anyone that Hillary needed to be nominated to beat Trump. Hillary was pretty much the presumptive nominee (the mathematical winner after Super Tuesday, I believe) well before the Republican Party even nominated Trump, so, don't try it with that revisionist history.
