Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: So because a reporter f***ed up very badly, people are "done" with Buttigieg? [View all]Moostache
(9,895 posts)26. I personally find hyper-partisan supporters ALL to be distasteful...
I am all for a robust exchange of ideas and debates on WHY a policy or position or plan is a better solution to a problem...but the attacks on other Democratic candidates is so tiresome and petty that it makes me want to vomit half the time.
If candidates slide into constant sniping at each other for temporary gains (only to later see themselves as stars in the GOP attack ads against our eventual nominee) they lose a ton of my respect and desire to support them.
I have said all along that my vote is already cast - I am voting for the party nominee in 2020 and there is NO DOUBT about that. Pete would still be my first choice, but I will vote for Joe, Liz, Bernie or anyone else that might come through the primaries.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

OP
The anti-Buttigieg posts have stopped, but I have yet to see the apologies here

Pete's run a pretty good campaign so far so that false quote gave me a nasty jolt

Did the people who read the article here know it was fake news when they "came down" on him?

Happens all the time. But I knew Pete would never have said something like that.

The ONLY one I am or have been "done with" is Tulsi Gabbard. The rest are doing just fine, IMO

I agree that the reporter had a preconceived notion. Maybe he saw this old clip which is going viral

I've seen that clip, he's made other statements as well about "not going back."

So he says there's no going back to Obama or Clinton, the American political world since he was born

Julian Castro jumped on that reporter error to make a snarky dig and has now deleted it

I agree with you. Just goes to show how fake news can dominate a news cycle. nt

Yes, and it has completetely distracted from a veterans plan that Pete put forth today.

Even if he did make a mistake he is human and his heart is good. I would never be done with him! nt

I'll hazard a guess that 99.9% of Democratic voters have heard nothing about this story...
