Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Sen Warren is cut from the same cloth as Speaker Pelosi. [View all]Nationalism is a right wing ideology. Think of folks like Steve Bannon. That's a nationalist and a populist.
Nationalists tend to tell people that things are bad for them because <enter group> is keeping them down. Said group will be immigrants, Jews, etc. They will try to sell this whole national pride/supremacy thing.
Populism on its own will generally focus on the "worker" or the "regular guy" vs the elites....media, government, CEOs.....etc.
Trade deals, for example. The populist would focus on the fat cat getting rich while the command man loses his job...the greed.
The nationalist would focus on the Chinese stealing the jobs! Or the "invaders." Etc.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
