5. If we do not START the process with MFA, we will get NOTHING...

Not even a public option...

Obama did great things, was an exemplary president and is missed sorely (more than he knows)...BUT, taking MFA or single-payer off the table to START Obamacare negotiations was a big mistake. So was believing that snake Lieberman throughout the process...but we HAVE to start with a minimum of scaring the insurance companies into a panic that GUARANTEES a minimum of incremental insurance depletion and increased health care access.

My insurance is considered great by all standards, yet I am STILL declined doctor's prescribed insulin treatments in favor of "policy determined equivalent treatment" (which is neither comparable, nor equivalent). As a hypertensive, diabetic cancer survivor, I can not simply make choices for my career or life that do not involve careful consideration of the available benefits I could receive or enroll in.

Mark my words, if the newly elected Democratic President starts from any place OTHER THAN MFA in 2021 negotiations, we will be lucky to get a via Public Option at all...in this poker game, we have to represent a monster hand and then be willing to go all in and risk getting nothing to move the ball closer to universal health care access, which to me MUST be the goal.

(*EDIT - Yes, I realize that my preference for Mayor Pete is not 100% aligned on this issue...but no one is perfect!!)

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
