and I believe he is a REAL institutionalist, a constitutionalist.

That said, my guess is he's going to select a VP candidate that is very complementary to him and by that I mean fills out the strengths of the ticket--POC and/or female, complementary background in areas unlike his own and likely much younger. It is hard to imagine too many such choices who would not be very much committed to taking a tough line. Biden isn't a self-serving narcissist nor a stubborn ideologue. He WILL listen to others in making such decisions, I feel certain.

He also knows his history and the nearly straight line from allowing Nixon a "graceful exit" sans REAL repercussions to decades of pushing the constitutional boundaries, especially by the RW to today's near lawless attitudes.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

trump will either pardon himself or will have pence do it Gothmog Sep 2019 #13
I don't for a minute believe even SCOTUS would uphold self-pardon. Pence can only do it if President hlthe2b Sep 2019 #14
However if Pence is replaced on the ticket, Pence may not want to pardon trump Gothmog Sep 2019 #15
Frankly, regardless of the scenario, I see very little benefit to Pence that would motivate pardon hlthe2b Sep 2019 #16
