I don’t think we even have a mainstream Socialist in our political system. Even Bernie Sanders is not a Socialist, but actually a Social Democrat, like in Denmark and Sweden. And, he should be emphasizing that.

But, Baby Boomers and the Silent Generation vote very consistently. And, many of them confuse the label “Democratic Socialist” with the 1950’s Soviet Union. They experienced the Red Scare and the peak of the Cold War.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
